Ilkley bedroom

Ilkley bedroom, designed by Making Spaces.

I was lucky enough to be involved with this gorgeous bedroom design by Karen Knox over at Making Spaces. This indulgent deisign was really exciting to be a part of, and the bold choice of colour, complimentary furnishings, along with gorgeous House of Hackney covering on the ceiling was a really clear example of the talent and vision Karen Knox has developed over the years.

The Artemis covering from house of Hackney is described as being;

‘Originally inspired by the floral wallpaper used in Diana Vreeland's 'Garden in Hell' room, 'Artemis' is one of House of Hackney's most iconic and awe-inspiring prints. A Jacobean-inspired design that showcases an abundance of psychedelic flowers, this ecru colourway holds antique appeal. A combination of muted reds, teals and faded ochres make this an exquisite addition to your interiors scheme.’

Also as an interesting side note, due to a buisness partnership with the World Land Trust, when purchasing this wall paper, it also helps to preserve 35 square metres of forest. So not only gorgeous in those but also great for the planet!

Each roll sold enables House of Hackney to purchase and protect 35 square metres of forest, thanks to our partnership with the World Land Trust the international conservation charity that safeguards our most vital natural ecosystems and threatened habitats, acre by acre

The bold purple brown walls and woodwork colour selected by Karen Knox of making spaces, is a luxuriously deep and rich purple colour with warm brown tones that creates a calming and cosy feel for a snug yet elegant room.

I’d like to take this opportunity to salt a huge thank you to Karen Knox at making spaces for the opportunity to be part of such a gorgeous project and also for sharing these images with me.
