Kitchen Respray Skipton.
Giving this kitchen in Carleton in Craven a new lease of life was a great project. We tiled around the worktops, painted the walls and ceiling and then sprayed the units to transform the look of this tired looking kitchen. Using Intact 80 by Tikkurila, a child and pet friendly paint ensured our work was home and family ready.
Giving this kitchen a fresh new appearance and a new lease of life started by taking it right back to basics. The old tiles were removed and the damaged areas where skimmed to create a good start for the new tiles that were being installed.
We also degreased all of the original doors, draw fronts, frames and decor ends. This enabled us to use an adhesion primer to give the new painted surfaces the best possible base to continue on from.
After applying the adhesion primer we. Then went on to apply a first coat of intact 80. This enables us to see any defects in the woodwork, before continuing with the top coats. The defects were filled and rubbed back, then primes again to ensure a flawless finish.
For the insides of the glass fronted units we did exactly the same process as for the rest of the woodwork. This helps to ensure the kitchen looks brand new and not like one that has being shoddily painted.
For the tiling, we chose to go for metro tiles, this timeless look worked really well with the bright, fresh new cupboards. Creating a really clean and tidy looking kitchen, ready to be the heart of the family home.
This is how we left the job, ready for the new flooring to be installed after the weekend, this gave time for the painted surfaces to cure so that they would suffer any damage.
